Chat Gpt Recipe for Laziness or Productivity Tool

Productivity and convenience are always desirable. As a relatively old hag, I am discovering the power of ChatGPT and realising its potential in reducing drudgery and hours focussing on figuring out use different language models for specific purposes. Honestly, I see no harm in using these in general as all of us are not experts in writing letters and appropriate salutations. Deriving these from LLM's Large Language Models which I guess are generating these responses is no different from use of algorithms to read Electrocardiograms, Radiographs and even EMG, EEG and Halter Records to quickly give an interpretation.

I have seen recently the power of ChatGPT and just a generation back we were fascinated by the search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and others we seem to now feel the same fascination about ChatGPT. The vital difference between search engines and ChatGPT is as follows. Search engines give many results from most specific and relevant to less specific based on search words and algorithms. These in turn are specific to our profile and search but also specific to the promotion and Search Engine optimization which is paid by advertisers and promoters. Also the latest and most current information real time is better on search engines. Where ChatGPT scores is to give specific input and answers directly in a natural conversational style very specific and situational. So ChatGPT begins where search ends. It also is able to act based on our instructions. The more specific the better. For example if we give a background information about the protagonists it incorporates it into the output. Another very versatile use of ChatGPT is for the novices who are not adept at using Excel or remembering formulae. Telling Chat GPT to actually write a formula after merely selecting the row column or cell you want analyzed makes life relatively easy. Besides, even the ability to make presentations and use appropriate images are areas I am yet to explore. The full potential of this tool and my understanding is a work in progress.

As a day to day user of ChatGPT and a recent convert I have wondered at the potential harm which can occur when students get hold of its use and passon the creation of ChatGPT as their own and gain unfair advantage over the ones who have made efforts. However, I am slowly but surely realizing the potential problems. Chat GPT is incapable of saying exactly more than what is fed in and so original thoughts can never be fed and if I want to say something different from the AI generated results then my own style will not manifest in my article.

The example given below is chatGPT response to  title ChatGPT Recipe for Laziness or Productivity tool. This is hardly an appropriate response.

If you're looking for a tool to help with productivity or managing tasks, I can suggest a few approaches depending on what you're looking for. For a "recipe for laziness," I could provide tips on automating tasks or finding shortcuts. However, if you're aiming for productivity, I can suggest strategies for time management and organization. Let me know which direction you'd like to go!

This is certainly not an appropriate answer. The fundamental question is that can we claim to anything being completely original as we all are affected by our inbuilt language models, which though are nowhere as large as LLM's of ChatGPT , they are as large as ones reading and experience command. These are unique and a combination of many things. So they are not completely original but they exude a characteristic which reflects the thinking of one person. Yes they maybe inspired or partly copied from others but these thoughts are as close to being original as possible. It is entirely possible that from these musings something new maybe added which has never been said or experienced before. These too will ultimately contribute to the big LLM from which ChatGTP derives its content.

After all this rant I suddenly discovered that first principle thinking demande that I should explore the full form of ChatGPT which is 'Chat Generative Pre-training Transformer. ' This has actually made me realise that at least today Chat GPT remains a tool to assist. It is at best a secretary who we can train to do the work in a manner as close to what I want from him or her. As always you will not find an ideal assistant who thinks like you but we can get close to it as the tool progresses and improves to it's full potential.

In the meanwhile in this disruptive technology world we expect change to be a constant but certain fundamentals like truth, empathy and emotional quotient remain a domain which maybe difficult to conquer soon. I think BOTS are already becoming emotional friends and hacking the moods is a reality too. Let us adopt and make these tools our helper rather than master. My final thoughts is that it is easy to get tempted to not think but then you and your friends will realise that the language of your engagement is different from the past.

Disclaimer: ChatGPT can easily generate a blog if given a title. Maybe I can try with one my old blogs and see the output. I solemnly affirm that my present blog is not generated by Chat GPT.
