  For those in the medical profession and for the lay persons these terms require to be defined correctly. In our childhood say almost 4-5 decades back most cities and small towns were filled with the General Practitioners who practiced in the Dawakhanas with compounders and an assortment of tablets, pills and lotions which were stored in large jars and dispensed in paper bags and bottles provided from the clinics. These were an assortment of doctors whose qualification ranged from MBBS to homeopaths, ayurveda and unani medicine and a category of RMP's. They had the experience and skill sets and relied on solid clinical examination techniques. They were well versed with the seasonal trend of diseases and over time knew the family and their ailments and literally became family physicians. This blog is about my experience in life as a student and later as a professional. As a child I was conscious of the fact that I was born as a kid of reasonable privilege. My parents were not exactly rich but middle class, my mother was a salaried teacher and father a lawyer. Their education and intelligence along with hard work made them make the transformation from middle class to upper middle class thanks to business acumen and good investments. They were able to give us children comfort and provide all our needs. My sister who was 4 years older had a struggle compared to me. So we both today at age 67 and 63 respectively have tasted success in our careers. Looking back the problem was that I was always considered the talented creative counterfoil to my sister who was considered the hardworking less talented person. Learning Religion from Modern teachers

  Religion has always been a topic for discussion and debate and when I picked up the Parsi Junction last week I came across an advertorial for a Structured Religion course on Zoroastrianism by Er. Ramiyar Karanjia I just spontaneously decided to enrol for the same.  The factors which prompted this decision are multiple and I intend listing them out in general without any particular order of greater or lesser importance.  The word structured Religion made me think positively because mere general talks are ephemeral and will lead to general well being without change.  The credibility of Er Ramiyar Karanjia, his story of a simple student from Baroda who seems to have worked hard and taught himself to understand and interpret an od religion of which not much is known.  I have heard that Zoroastrian religion has lot of scientific and environmental connotations which I would like to understand and learn.  Power of chanting Manthravani which I am oblivious to, I hope to discover the benefits
